Surgery for hip avascular necrosis (loss of blood supply)

Necrosis – Sudihir RaoIn this condition the blood supply to the ball is compromised and hence requires surgery to both decompress the ball and also restore blood supply.

This works well in early stages but if the ball is permanently damaged then a Hip replacement may be necessary.
